With an international background, multilingual capabilities, and an impressive academic foundation that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Ph.D. in Business Operations Management, Dr. Malyssa Collins brings more than 20 years of professional experience across the corporate and nonprofit sectors. Her diverse expertise spans information technology, business development, entrepreneurship, recruitment, consulting, mentoring, and education.
As the founder and owner of Jireh Alliance Career & Workforce Development, Dr. Collins is driven by both professional expertise and personal experience. Having navigated the challenges of being a foreign-born woman of color in the professional world, she understands firsthand the barriers that can hinder career advancement and economic opportunity. These experiences have fueled her passion for helping individuals from all walks of life overcome obstacles, build confidence, and achieve their career goals and aspirations.
Dr. Collins is committed to serving individuals at every stage of their professional journey—from young adults transitioning from high school or college into the workforce, to veterans navigating the transition from military to civilian life, to mid-career professionals seeking advancement and individuals reentering the workforce. Through career readiness initiatives, workforce development training, mentorship, and community outreach, she works to address gaps in skills, education, and professional preparation that can limit access to meaningful employment and career growth.
Her dedication with career readiness and workforce development began in 2013 through her former partnership with nonprofit Youth Career Connect (YCC). She continued advancing this mission with the public at large and through collaborations with the Wilderness Education Project (WEP) and National Performance Education (NPE). These experiences have reinforced her commitment to creating pathways to opportunity, strengthening workforce readiness, and helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and professional success.
At the heart of Dr. Collins’s work is a vision of empowerment, inclusion, and lasting impact. Through Jireh Alliance Career & Workforce Development, she strives to ensure that underserved and underprivileged individuals have access to the resources, training, and support they need to compete equitably in today’s workforce, pursue their aspirations, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
